Synphoria is a private digital companion for emotional support — not “just another chatbot,” but someone you can build continuity with. It listens, remembers what matters, notices patterns in how you’re doing, and responds to support you (not to “win” a conversation).

Synphoria was built for the moments that don’t wait for appointments, schedules, or business hours — the late-night spirals, the quiet shame, the “I can’t bother anyone right now” moments. We call this the silence between sessions — the long gap where real life happens.

Our Memory Continuum is designed to store meaning and emotional context, not just a raw transcript. In simple terms: it helps the companion remember what you’ve been through, what tends to trigger you, what actually helps, and what you don’t want to repeat.

It also isn’t an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, you should contact local emergency services right away. Synphoria is built to help you bridge the gap, not replace the systems meant for emergencies.

Synphoria includes a safeguarding and risk-management layer designed to detect elevated distress and serious danger patterns, so the system can respond responsibly.

Conceptually, it works in three levels:

  • Green (routine support): stress, fatigue, sadness — supportive care and gentle monitoring.
  • Amber (elevated distress): patterns show rising risk — supportive intervention and stronger stabilization prompts.
  • Red (critical risk): credible signals of imminent harm — escalation workflow for protective action (deployment-specific).
  • Important: This system is meant to protect people — and it’s designed with governance and minimum-necessary access rules, not “surveillance culture.”

Privacy you can actually trust

Synphoria’s philosophy is: technology should be a source of care, not control.

For workplace and partner deployments, we use a zero-knowledge / privacy-shield approach:

  • Employers/partners receive aggregated, anonymized insights (stress trends / heatmaps) — not individual chat logs.
  • We use strong security controls: encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest (including AES-256-GCM for sensitive chat data).
  • Access is controlled with RBAC, least privilege, logging, and separation of duties for sensitive actions.
  • About human access: Synphoria is designed so chat content is not routinely read by humans. In rare safeguarding scenarios (risk to life/serious harm) the minimum necessary information may be reviewed under strict governance and logging, and only by authorized senior personnel.
